A Message from the Club President

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I am honored to serve as your president for the 2010-2011 Rotary year.

Rotary is an organization that stands by its core motto of "Service Above Self". The South Pasadena Club has taken service to the next level and has a reputation in the local community and internationally for projects that truly make a difference. I am so proud to be a part of this organization that not only is known for service, but for standing by values and empowering local youth.

Service isn't just about the people that are known to us. At Rotary we say we will feed those we will never know. We will bring water to those we will never see. We will bring a smile to a child we will never know. But we do know that our work is important. As a club, it represents who we are and why we are South Pasadena Rotarians.

My hope is that in this year we inspire others to become Rotarians, we inspire each other to reach higher, and we inspire the community by our example of service in action. This club is not about any one of us as an individual. It is about the power of all of us joining together as one to accomplish amazing things.

We also have a strong fellowship component amongst our members. We enjoy working, playing and laughing together and forming new friendships that will last forever. The self satisfaction one can achieve when presented with the opportunities Rotary can offer is endless. Please join me as we make this year a year to remember.
