Service Projects
The Service Projects Committee plans and carries out educational, humanitarian, and vocational projects that address the needs of the club's community as well as communities in other countries. The Committee is also responsible for youth programs. Service projects include a "hands-on" international project such as building Corazon House in Mexico, awarding scholarships and leadership training, running the George Hensel Ethics Essay contest, and service projects in the local community (such as fireworks during the Fourth of July, a rabies clinic for pets, co-sponsoring the Police Appreciation Luncheon, and Disaster Preparedness initiatives).
The Rotary Club also donates books related to California to the South Pasadena Golden State Collection, in honor of our speakers at weekly meetings.
