The Rotary Club of South Pasadena is pleased to announce this year's winners of our annual scholarships we give to 4 graduating seniors going on to college, 2 each from both SPHS and Wilson HS. We annually award a $2,000 college scholarship, the Susan Foster Award for Community Involvement, to a graduating SPHS student, this year's winner being Sang Yul "Shane" Yu, a $1,000 scholarship, the Wagner Family Rotary Scholarship, to a graduating SPHS student, this year's winner being Madeleine Yoo, and $1,000 scholarships to 2 graduating Wilson HS students, the Rotary Scholarship Awards for Community & School Service, this year's winners being Isis Mejia-Duarte and Melanie Miranda.
49 students applied for the awards by writing essays, all being excellent candidates, so the winners were exemplary.
Congratulations to all the candidates and the 4 winners in particular!

The Rotary Club of South Pasadena gives grants to eligible organizations at the beginning of each calendar year. Funding for these grants come from the proceeds of our annual Rotary fundraiser “Taste of South Pasadena”.
All nonprofits in our region supporting local efforts are encouraged to apply for a Community
Service Grant. The Rotary Club is especially interested in making awards to non-profits that
provide volunteers with opportunities for community service. Please check back after
October 1, 2021 for new grant application instructions and deadlines.
