Who We Are *
We are People of Action
Together we are a united fellowship of men and women who gather in South Pasadena and contribute time, talent and leadership to enhance health, welfare and education in our community and beyond. We are committed to being catalysts for effective humanitarian action and a more peaceful world.
Our Mission
Rotary Club of South Pasadena is a dynamic community of leaders, neighbors, and changemakers united in service, friendship, and purpose. In alignment with Rotary International’s 2025–2026 theme, Unite for Good, and our local focus, Peace – Unite for Good, we are committed to building a more just, educated, and sustainable world. Through hands-on service and bold partnerships, we advance positive peace, expand access to basic education and literacy, and protect the environment for future generations. By empowering youth, supporting vulnerable communities, and bridging divides, we create lasting impact—starting in South Pasadena and reaching across the globe.
Join us in creating a more peaceful, educated, and compassionate world - one project, one partnership, and one person at a time.
What is Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of business and professional leaders who come together to make a difference. With over 1.2 million members in more than 35,000 clubs across 160+ countries, Rotarians are united by a shared commitment to humanitarian service, ethical leadership, and the pursuit of peace and goodwill.
Rotary clubs reflect the diversity of their communities, welcoming people of all professions, cultures, and backgrounds. Meetings are held weekly, and clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all.
The heart of Rotary is service: locally, nationally, and internationally. Clubs create projects that address pressing challenges such as supporting children at risk, reducing poverty and hunger, promoting literacy, protecting the environment, and preventing violence. Rotary also invests in the future by offering scholarships, youth leadership programs, cultural exchanges, and mentorship opportunities.
But Rotary is more than service. It’s friendships that last a lifetime, light-hearted fellowship, and chances to work side by side with others who want to do good. It’s connecting with your community, networking with leaders, and sharing meaningful experiences with fun, inspiring people.

Pillars of the Club:
The Four Way Test:
Of the things we think, say and do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to ALL concerned?

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at Rotary International
As a global network that strives to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change, Rotary values diversity and celebrates the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, color, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity. Rotary will cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture in which people from under-represented groups have greater opportunities to participate as members and leaders.
Fun Fact: Our Club has 100% Paul Harris Fellowship!
A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who has been recognized by Rotary International for their outstanding contributions to the Rotary Foundation, which supports various humanitarian projects worldwide. The fellowship is named after Rotary's founder, Paul Harris, and is awarded to those who have demonstrated a commitment to service above self, Rotary's guiding principle.
Recipients of the Paul Harris Fellowship can include Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike, and they are typically honored for their philanthropic efforts, community service, or significant contributions to Rotary's humanitarian initiatives. The recognition often involves a financial contribution to the Rotary Foundation, which funds programs in areas such as peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention, clean water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education, and economic development.
Becoming a Paul Harris Fellow signifies a deep commitment to making a positive difference in the world and reflects Rotary's ethos of service and humanitarianism.
